About The Book And Author

TWO volumes of delightful memoirs by Dr Ian Collins who roams around his long life, telling of his family history, his time as President of the Australian Medical Association (NSW), his experiences serving as a medical officer in Vietnam, and his love of the Classics. The books also contain poems by Ian Collins and short stories.

IAN STUART COLINS was brought up in Killara, NSW.  He was educated at the Kings School Parramatta and graduated in Medicine at the University of Sydney  He has practised as a consultant physician until recently.  He was President of the Australian Medical Association NSW in 1979-80.  He is married and lives on the Central Coast.  He has had three sons and a daughter from a previous marriage.  He is involved in literary and historical studies and is interested in art.
